Teff bales:
Teff is an annual grass that can be harvested a few times a year, and have adapted to flourish in a wide range of conditions. The fine, erect and sparely branched stems is fast growing and high yielding. Due to the fine leaves and stems, this annual forage crop is idea for a range of livestock that includes, dairy , beef, sheep and horses. Teff gras is a popular grass due to the fact of low sugar/starch content but with a moderate protein and calorie content
Strengths of Teff:

- Widely adapted to different growing conditions
- Tolerance to salinity
- Drought tolerant
Palatability – Teff is fine stemmed, leafy and “soft” which is very palatable to livestock. Some fussy livestock eaters will prefer Teff as farmers often report that their livestock prefer Teff hay over other traditional grass hays.

Smutsfinger bales:
Smutsfinger grass is a summer growing perennial forage crop. Tufted perennial with 14 mm leaf blades. An inflorescence with 3 to 15 spikes, in one or two whorls, can be seen at the culm tip. Ideal crop for hay production for a wide range of livestock including dairy, beef, sheep, and horses. One of the reasons for its popularity is its adaptability to a variety of climatic and soil conditions.

Eragrostis bales:
Eragrostis also known as Weeping Love grass, is a summer growing perennial forage crop producing dense tufts. It forms large clumps with abundant drooping leaves at the base. The culms are fine, fibrous, unbranched and erect. The lowest branches are pilose and the secondary branches bear the sessile greyish green spikelets that are linear oblong and are 8-10 mm long. Ideal crop for hay production for a wide range of livestock including dairy, beef, sheep, and horses.

- Strong Perennial
- Grows on soils with low-fertility
- Establishes easily
- Good cold tolerance
- Valuable in erosion control
Palatability: Very good palatable grass especially in spring and is fairly drought-resistant and because of this has been cultivated as a pasture.
